Gulf of Cleveland News shows public data from NOAA and the National Weather Service about Lake Erie at Cleveland and composes plain sentences from it. It is provided as is.

Not for navigation or safety

Do not use this site to decide whether it is safe to swim, boat, fish or go on the ice. Readings come from one station, can be late, wrong or missing, and do not describe every part of the shore. Always check the official forecast from NWS Cleveland and use your own judgment.

No affiliation

“Gulf of Cleveland” is a nickname for the city’s stretch of Lake Erie. This site is not run by, or affiliated with, the City of Cleveland, NOAA, the National Weather Service or any government agency.

Lake Pass

The Lake Pass is $1.95 a month or $19.50 a year and renews until you cancel; the Day Pass is $1.00 for 24 hours and does not renew. Cancelling keeps paid time until it ends. If the data sources stop for a long time, we will say so on the home page. During the preview no payment is taken and every Lake Pass feature is free.

Fair use

Do not try to overload the site, guess other people’s watch links or scrape it heavily; the CSV downloads exist so you do not need to. NOAA and NWS data are public; the site’s own text, design and code belong to WeldonPC.
